Gloria Alamrew is a freelance writer from Edmonton, Alberta. She has written for Avenue Edmonton, CBC, Huffington Post (including its subsidiary, Huffington Post Black Voices). Able to write on a variety of topics, Gloria is most drawn to stories that seek to centre marginalized voices and communities, particularly women of colour.
She is a graduate of the Philosophy program at the University of Alberta. It was in this writing-intensive and deadline-based program, where her research, editing, and writing skills were honed. Working in business communications writing for the past five years, her writing and editing skills have been further refined.
