The Alberta Magazine Awards program honours and celebrates the work of magazine makers – the editors, art directors, writers, photographers, illustrators, and other creators – who collectively bring passion and insight to our unique Alberta culture and ensure Alberta voices and stories are shared throughout the province and beyond our borders.
The program recognizes extraordinary content with 18 written, visual, digital, and integrated award categories and five Achievement award categories.
Submission Costs and Deadlines
Early Bird entry deadline: February 26, 2024 at 4PM
Entry deadline: March 11, 2024 at 4PM
Early Bird: $40 per entry
Regular: $50 per entry
Small circulation (<1000) and freelance Early Bird: $35 per entry
Small circulation (<1000) and freelance Regular: $45 per entry
When submitting to the awards, each AMPA member magazine is eligible to receive the second entry submission for FREE. This will be automatically reflected in your invoice.
Competition is open to any AMPA member print or digital magazine in good standing, with the exception of Best New Magazine and Emerging Writer categories, which are open to non-members.
*Please note that the Magazine of the Year and Best New Magazine categories require hard copies sent to the AMPA office by Friday, March 22, 2024 at 4PM.
