Robert Newman has directed design for Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, Details, New York, Vibe, The Village Voice and Guitar World. Before becoming an art director, he worked as a political organizer, printer, typesetter, paste-up artist and editor. The former creative director of Real Simple and Reader’s Digest, Robert launched the latter’s iPad and Kindle Fire apps. As a consultant, he has helped shape the visual direction of TV Guide, Newsweek, Cottage Living, AARP, O, and many other publications. He acted as creative consultant on iPad launches for Adweek and AARP.
