Known for his utmost dedication to the success of IMPACT magazine, Chris Welner is exemplary in his approach to producing high quality editorial content. With late nights, weekends and countless hours, Chris’ commitment to delivering content that inspires and engages readers is evident issue after issue.

Welner is recognized for his acute editing skills and ability to distill the knowledge of experts, who are not necessarily writers, into shining pieces of editorial content that inform and serve readers. He pivots between roles with ease, interviewing subjects, directing photo shoots, ordering stories, and managing final edits. Every detail does not go untouched.

Working with passion and finesse, Welner’s 25 years of experience have served him well in successful-ly executing ambitious projects such as IMPACT’s 20th anniversary issue and IMPACT’s Top 20 cover athletes of all time. In addition to his commitment to the magazine, Welner is an alumnus of Leadership Calgary, has volunteered as a speaker coach with TEDx Calgary, and acts as mentor to new industry talents.
