Department of Canadian Heritage Releases Changing Narratives Fund Report
Last fall, the Department of Canadian Heritage held roundtables on the implementation of the Changing Narratives Fund. It was an opportunity to discuss with stakeholders from diverse communities on its potential scope and objectives. The Department also made available an online questionnaire to obtain various perspectives. The feedback will help design and implement this new Fund to support diverse groups of journalists, creators, organizations and communities to better represent their experiences and perspectives in the media, arts and culture sectors.
The launch of the Fund will be an opportunity for the Government of Canada to make meaningful change towards advancing anti-racism, inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility within the media, arts and culture sectors.
Please consult the “Changing Narratives Fund Report on Consultations” which provides a summary of the themes discussed in the roundtables and shared through the online survey.
