2024 National Magazine Awards and B2B Awards Winners Announced

On June 7, 2024, the National Magazine Awards announced the Canadian creators who won Gold and Silver medals at this year’s National Magazine Awards. The gala was held at Arcadian Court in Toronto and was hosted by NMA-winning writer and journalist Jimmy Thomson.

The winners of the 2024 National Magazine Awards: B2B were presented at the NMA: B2B luncheon on the same day. The luncheon was hosted by Andrew Snook at Arcadian Court in Toronto.

AMPA congratulates all winners, with special congratulations to AMPA Member honourable mentions and all creators hailing from the province of Alberta.

Alberta Views received honourable mention in Illustration for “Cherries Bar Cherries” by Byron Eggenschwiler; Investigative Reporting for “Dysfunction at EMS” by Jennie Russell and Charles Rusnell; and Photo Essay & Photojournalism for “Rooms with a Royal View,” by Guillaume Nolet.

Avenue received honourable mention in Portrait Photography for “Wakefield Brewster: Poet for the People” by Steve Collins.

Alberta Heavy received honourable mention in the B2B category Best Feature Article: Trade for “Baby On Site” by Lisa Gordon.
