Annie is the editor of Adirondack Life magazine, a former editor at Good Housekeeping magazine and a contributing writer to the New York Times, Newsweek, Forbes and Slate.com. She’s the co-author of the Explorer’s Guide Adirondacks (W. W. Norton, 2018) and is currently the Writer-in-Residence at the State University of New York at Potsdam, where she teaches magazine writing. Annie has won more than a dozen International Regional Magazine Association (IRMA) Awards for her Adirondack Life articles, including her column, “Short Carries.” In 2019 Adirondack Life magazine was a finalist for IRMA’s Magazine of the Year and winner of a FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Award for best single issue of a Northeastern Regional Magazine. She lives with her family in the Adirondack Park in New York State.
