Summarize the magazine’s achievements during the past year and how it has served the needs of its readers
2024 — really, this was a year of needing to pivot…. and survive. Post-COVID, it has not been any easier for those in the magazine business. We have had to manage costs and, at the same time, strive to offer the sort of journalism that has made us award-winners in the past.

We added a new signpost issue, January’s 6 Who Inspire, which profiled six Edmontonians of a certain age who’ve made lifetimes of contributions to the city. We still have our Best Restaurants issue, with the accompanying event which saw chefs cooking for hundreds of our readers at the Convention Centre.

Our Top 40 Under 40 continues to be a tentpole, along with a gala evening at the Winspear Centre where the 40 winners are honoured, along with entertainment.

We still proactively work with other media, including appearances and collaborations with Global, CBC and Real Talk With Ryan Jespersen.

We’re still here, and we plan to be here for a long time
