Upcoming Mount Royal University Mock Interviews

Mount Royal University would like to invite you to participate in their fall round of Mock Interviews in the hopes that you can leverage your expertise as a mentor to create an authentic experience that benefits the students involved.

The experience not only helps the student to dip their toes in the interview room of their chosen industry, but it allows employers to get a first look at the student talent offered at MRU, streamlining the selection process for interns in the future. After all, it’s easy for a candidate to rise to the top of your resume pile in the spring when you’ve already assessed their soft skills, work experience, and seen that they can be a cultural fit in your workplace.

All Mock Interviews will be conducted remotely for a period of 30 minutes, with 20 minutes dedicated to the interview portion and a 10-minute follow-up assessment of the student’s performance. You can interview for any position whether existent or not, provided it relates to your company. If you do not have a position in mind but still wish to participate, we can provide you with some template resources.

Here are the slotted times they will be conducting them for Students of Journalism:
Tuesday, November 21st: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday, November 22nd: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Thursday, November 23rd: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
