Consultations on the Online News Act Regulations

Date: 7th September 2023

The Government of Canada has announced draft regulations that will guide the CRTC during its implementation of the Online News Act. On September 2, 2023, the proposed policy directions will be published in Canada Gazette, Part I for consultation. 

You are invited to view the proposed regulations as well as the Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement and share your opinions on the proposal by Monday October 2, 2023, through the Canada Gazette online commenting feature where all comments will be made public. Your input will inform the final regulations.
