Applications Open for the Export Development Stream from Creative Export Canada

As part of the renewal of the Creative Export Strategy, the Creative Export Canada (CEC) program’s funding envelope has been increased by $4 million per year due to the creation of the new Export Development Stream (EDS).  This new stream under the CEC program will offer funding as a grant or a contribution to new exporters, start-up exporters, and experienced exporters. The EDS will enable them to strengthen their capabilities, expand in international markets, access new international markets, and develop new or existing international business networks.

 The EDS funding application package is now available.  The application deadline for submitting a funding application is July 26, 2023, for projects with expenses starting between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

Before submitting your application, please read the Application Guidelines – Export Development Stream, and make sure you are eligible!

How to submit your application:

  1. Download the application form in PDF format before completing it.
  2. Provide all the information requested. Incomplete or late requests will be automatically refused.
  3. Email your complete application to creativeexportcanada-exportationcreativecanada@pch.gc.ca before the deadline of July 26, 2023.

Ensure that application packages larger than 16 MB are submitted through multiple emails identified accordingly (e.g. 1 of X)

Important: If you have not received an acknowledgment receipt two weeks following the submission of your application, it is your responsibility to contact the program to ensure that your funding application has been received.

The program will host webinars to provide tips on submitting your application to the Export-Ready Stream. To register, please send an email to creativeexportcanada-exportationcreativecanada@pch.gc.ca.

Webinars will take place:

  • In English: June 19, 2023 at 11:30 AM (Mountain Time) and June 29, 2023 at 11:30 AM (Mountain Time)
  • In French: June 15, 2023, at 11:30 AM (Mountain Time) and June 27, 2023 at 11:30 AM (Mountain Time)
