Applications Open for Special Measures for Journalism 2022 (Canada Periodical Fund)

Date: 28th October 2022

The Department of Canadian Heritage is now accepting applications for the Special Measures for Journalism component through its Canada Periodical Fund.

The Special Measures for Journalism component of the Canada Periodical Fund provides financial support to Canadian print magazines and digital periodicals, to enable them to overcome market disadvantages. The Fund ensures Canadians have access to diverse Canadian editorial content in printed magazines, printed community newspapers and digital periodicals.

This component provides funds for the 2022-23 fiscal year to publishers that have a free circulation model or low levels of paid circulation, or are published in a digital format.
