Join us in this interactive session to explore the fascinating leadership research of Dr. Brené Brown. You’ll learn practical skills and tools gleaned from her five best-selling books and you’ll have time to practice some of them as well in small, safe groups. Key content areas include: daring leadership, cultural safety, myths of vulnerability, empathy tools and courageous conversation skills. We invite you to spend a couple of hours to invest in yourself and to enhance your toolkit. Some fun during the webinar is promised as well!
Laurie Hillis is an executive coach, speaker, and leadership development practitioner whose purpose is to help others examine and create their most courageous self as they rumble with the daunting arenas they navigate in this world.
President of Megatrain Inc., a leadership consulting practice in operation since 1992 she was also a senior faculty member at the University of Alberta, Executive Education for many years, and in recent past she was a Director at the Banff Centre.
For seven years she’s been associated with Dr. Brené Brown’s life-changing courageous leadership work as a Certified Dare to Lead TM facilitator, Certified Daring Greatly and Rising Strong facilitator and the Canadian Case Consultant to the Daring Way community (http://brenebrown.com/). She brings all of these tools and methodologies to her coaching, coach supervision and leadership practice.
Laurie has worked extensively with organizations, teams and individuals to enhance their people engagement practices. From culture shifts, to executive/individual 360 processes, team coaching and individual coaching, she is known to be creative, empathetic, optimists, enthusiastic and a strong learning-focused facilitator.
Laurie has a Master’s Degree in Leadership & Learning from Royal Roads University and many other professional designations in the areas of: Psychological Safety (Fearless Organization Certified Practitioner), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Harrison Work Preferences tools, Conflict Dynamics Profile, Emotional Intelligence, Positive Intelligence, Personality Profiling, Trust in the Workplace, Resilience at Work, Tara Mohr’s work and more interesting learning tools (yes she DOES love to learn!).
