Applications Open for Aid to Publishers

The Department of Canadian Heritage is now accepting applications for Aid to Publishers component through its Canada Periodical Fund for fiscal 2025-26.

The Aid to Publishers component of the Canada Periodical Fund is designed to provide eligible Canadian publishers of print magazines and digital periodicals with the financial support they need to produce and distribute high-quality, Canadian editorial content for Canadian readers.

Digital-only magazines that have previously received funding through the Special Measures for Journalism component can apply for 2025-26 funding through the Aid to Publishers’ component Digital Periodical stream. Applications are due November 28, 2024 by 11:59 PM EST

The service standard from receipt of an application to a funding decision is 30 weeks.

Applications submitted through the online portal will receive an automated acknowledgement of receipt email at the time of submission.
