Walking with the Wisdom of Our Mothers and Grandmothers

The spring issue of Wider Horizons celebrates some of the inspiring Indigenous women who are connected to Lethbridge College. You can read about the origins of this theme in the Editor’s Message, and then dive into the compelling stories – told in the first-person voices – of women of all ages and experiences about the ways they walk with the wisdom of their mothers and grandmothers. The focus of each story varies – from the ways and reasons we cook for each other, to the value of language in defining the self, to the coverage of the murdered and missing Indigenous women in Canada and how that shapes decision-making, and much, much more.
