Voice

Publication: The Polyglot

From our third issue called CanLit: Curating our Canons, guest-edited by Luciana Erregue-Sacchi, comes a multilingual ekphrastic poem called “Voice,” by Medgine Mathurin. Seamlessly blending English, French, and Haitian Creole, the poet meditates on identity, language, the burden of translation, and the potential revolutionary idea of expanding the CanLit canon to include multilingual voices.
