Over and Over Exposure

Publication: LINK

Despite our digital world, photographers still get hooked on working with film. For more than 50 years, students at SAIT have discovered the art and magic of traditional black and white photography through labs offered in the Institute’s darkroom. “Over and Over Exposure” looks at why so many alumni have requested continued access to the darkroom — one of the last of its kind in Calgary — and introduces you to the community of photographers developing around it. This feature story inspired LINK to take our entire Spring 2019 issue analogue, exploring human skills and human stories and using glorious black and white photography from cover to cover.
