Cailynn Klingbeil

Cailynn is a generalist writer for newspapers and magazines. Her work covers topics including crime, business, urban affairs and mental health. Cailynn’s stories have been published in magazines and newspapers including Alberta Venture, Alberta Oil, Avenue Calgary, Avenue Edmonton, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, National Post and The Globe and Mail. From 2012 to 2015, Cailynn worked as a general assignment reporter at the Edmonton Journal. She also wrote for Trades Alberta, a weekly Edmonton Journal business feature about industry news and trends in the trades. Prior to the Journal, Cailynn was assistant editor of Venture Publishing’s contract division. She worked on a small team producing custom magazines for clients, completing tasks including assigning stories, managing editorial budgets, and completing substantive edits, copy edits and fact-checking for multiple publications.
