Seminar: Digital Content Planning

Event Date: 5th December 2017

Bring all of the basics of digital content together with practical advice on how to create content that connects with your audience, fits into your workflow and doesn’t rely on the help of developers or designers in this 90-minute seminar. Jaelyn Molyneux, executive editor of digital content at RedPoint Media & Marketing Solutions, will walk you through writing tips to make content more engaging and suggest free or inexpensive programs anyone can use to enhance their content. She’ll share back-to-basics advice to help create special digital content projects, make the most of print content online and develop additional content that will help round out your calendar. It’s all about maximizing everything you create and knowing when to add a little extra effort and when to pull back.

Jaelyn Molyneux is the executive editor of digital content at RedPoint Media & Marketing Solutions. She’s spent a decade working in magazines switching her focus about halfway through from print to digital content. She currently leads the digital content for Avenue Calgary magazine, which she led through a redesign and content overhaul to help compliment the print magazine. She oversees its social media as well as the city magazine’s three weekly e-newsletters. In her time at Avenue, the online audience has tripled through a combination of slow and steady changes and bigger content campaigns. She also works on and has developed content for organizations including Tsuu T’ina Nation, Drumheller Chamber of Commerce, University of Calgary and  Calgary Culture, among others. While digital is in her job title, she is not a techie and her roots always go back to creating content that reaches audiences when and where they need it. That means she is constantly adapting and experimenting with what she does.
