Glass Buffalo Debuts "Creativitea"
From May 5 to 7, you can pick up a local tea made specifically with reader/writer-types in mind! InfiniTea, a speciality tea company out of Edmonton, creates blends for specific pop culture fandoms. If you're a fan of Glass Buffalo, here's an easy and soothing way to show your support!
"I thought teas and writing/magazines go so well together that it would be a really cool offering for our readers to enjoy a magazine-specific blend," says editor Matthew Stepanic. "They crafted a blend (a cranberry and cream Earl Grey) that they thought would be a unique and writerly flavour."
While the tea is currently in limited supply, Stepanic hopes to have it on the tables at future craft fairs and literary events.

Culinaire Turns Five
May is a special month for us, and we have no choice but to toot our own horn. It's Culinaire's 5th birthday!!! We can't believe how quickly time has passed since our first little magazine came out...not only have we somehow survived in this not-so-magazine-friendly climate, but we've managed to expand to become a premier, Alberta-wide culinary magazine. Thank you to all our readers and supporters, we wouldn't be celebrating today if it wasn't for all of you! A big shoutout to @swirl_cakes for making us a beautiful cover cake & to @ingridkue for shooting it! #culinaire #birthday #magazines #publishing #yyc #yeg #celebrations #may #alberta #eatlocal #wine #spirits
With the launch of its May 2017 issue, Culinaire celebrated its 5th birthday! In her monthly letter to readers, editor Linda Garson wrote "We wouldn't still be here without the support of so many people, and I can't thank you enough for your complimentary messages and feedback. And humungous thanks go to the people who make Culinaire possible — our team of editors, writers, photographers, and sales people, past and present; our printers, and our advertisers who provide the means for us to continue to celebrate Alberta's vibrant and exciting culinary scene."
